In 1984, they were awarded the championship trophy for the Theater Arts Open Competition in the BYU International Ball. Other professionals Mark and Brenda have studied under include Jean Marc Genereux and Ron Montez, among others. They have been professional dance instructors in the East Texas area since 2006, have been instructing groups and coaching ballroom dance teams since 1984, and currently are members of the NDCA and professional members of USA Dance.
Our PhilosophyMJS Music & Dance provides dance instruction to the people of the East Texas area, including adults, students and children. We strive to uphold a strict standard of modesty, respect, and trust utilizing traditional ballroom dance values - showing skill rather than skin as the main attraction to the sport of ballroom dance. We've accomplished this by offering ballroom dances, community events, and dance instruction in the community and schools, as well as performance and competition opportunities. -Mark and Brenda Judkins
